Can anyone tell me how it got to be the end of September so quickly? I have only gotten one thing of my XMAS knitting done and I have lots more to go. I really love giving at least one hand made item to friends and family for the holidays, but I don't know if I am going to make it this year. EEK!! Please someone develop a way to squeeze more time out of each day!
Over the course of my weekend I have managed to finish up a few things. I got to do quite a bit of crafting which was lovely. A family friend of ours has a little girl that will be 2 in December and I wanted to finish cutting out all the applique pieces for her quilt. I made one for her when she was born and I some how got myself on the 2 year plan - although I'm not sure I will be able to keep up. All that is left for me to do is the actual appliqué.... My wonderful MIL is going to quilt it for me on her amazing machine. I only wish I had the space to do all the crafting I would like.
Next on the craft list was to finish the knitting part of my tea pals pot holder - I really love this pattern and can't wait to show off how it looks all sewed up with the fabric and batting.
The honeycomb effect is lovely and I really love how it pops with this red. The other crafty thing I was able to accomplish was to finish a necklace for my friend and fellow blogger Michele. I was inspired by the large center button and knew it would really look awesome as a necklace.
Work is getting busier, but more importantly I get to go to a concert on Friday night - Rilo Kiley here we come. I love this band and if you haven't heard them go check them out on Youtube. You wont regret it.
To everyone a great week with lots of extra crafting time!!!

You're seeing Rilo Kiley?! I'm super jealous...the closest they came to me was 350 miles away and a week ago. =(
I love the honeycombing on that...mmm, texture.
The quilt is so lovely as is the potholder! I love the texture. Oh, were staying at the Sheraton in Brookline when we come.
You inspired me to listen to my Rilo Kiley CDs and now I'm wondering if I should go to the show...
Thank you so much for the necklace. It's so cute and creative. I got compliments for my coworkers on it yesterday!
you are so crafty! I always wish I had more knitting time...and crafting time, but that 4 letter word w-o-r-k gets in the way.

Holy crap that quilt is simply stunning. STUNNING! I love it so much!! I have such a weakness for red, white, and green quilts.
We saw Coldplay in New Jersey a couple years ago and Rilo Kiley opened for them! It was a good show (both Rilo and Coldplay!) Have fun!
That quilt is wonderful! I admire you patience! The colours match beautifully.
Oh what a beautiful pattern on the quilt, I love the potholer and can't wait to see it done! Love that texture in it. Your necklace is cute and nice and bright :)
If you get an answer for how to get more time, I do hope you'll share the info..lol
WOW! You have been busy! Nice job on everything!! I am speechless!
OOh miss multi-talented, some very nice stuff going on there! I like the necklace very much, and that potholder pattern just rocks! I wish I could quilt, alas I have no time to learn anything new right now LOL
Love your socks! @ Favorite Socks. I couldn't post on there b/c I am not a member over there yet.
