Lets see what would my favorite dessert be? REALLY hard to say, since it appears to be that I have inherited my dad's sweet tooth!
Off the top of my head, it will be chocolate mousse cheesecake. I love cheesecake AND chocolate and there is a particular one that my dad gets from the Bronx, directly from the baker and is not too chocolately and a great cheesecake. Delicious, and great memories associated with it.

Though I love most sweets, my all-time favorite dessert is ice cream! I love vanilla the most-- it has to be really vanilla bean, real (ie. full-fat variety) ice cream. With other flavors I can substitute for a fat-free or low-fat version of ice cream or frozen yogurt, but not with vanilla. Vanilla bean ice cream, only the real deal will do!

Favourite dessert would be a toss-up between Strawberry Cheesecake with a Graham Cracker Crust... and soft gingerbread cookies... OR Warm apple pie with French Vanilla Ice Cream... mm.. don't make me pick just one!

I am a simple person with simple pleasures... While vanilla bean ice cream almost is my #1 favorite dessert, I've got to say my all time favorite is lemon cake with lemon icing. Lemony, lemon deliciousness...

I think my favorite dessert right now is a recipe called Warm Apple-Buttermilk Custard Pie...the recipe can be found at the Cooking Light recipe search! I love fall anyway but that's when our apples are ready...I make this pie at least 2 or 3 times each fall!

Oh, I'm a bit of an Oregonian at heart, too. My parents grew up in Albany I and spent many summers there, and holidays. Still get up once or twice a year, my step sister and family are in Hood River and my bro & sis in-law are across in Camas, WA.

It's nearly impossible for me to pick, but if I had to pick one, I'd say custard, in any of it's many forms...creme brule, flan, coconut custard, chocolate custard, grapenut custard, egg custard pie...mmmmm, I wish I had a piece of custard pie right now!
Out of all the fabulous, elaborate desserts I've ever had, my favorite is still Girl Scout Thin Mints. I could eat a whole box. Yumm!

My favorte Dessert I don't get too often because my mom rarely makes it and the only other person how makes agreat one is my Aunt and I rarely see her. It is called Postre de Dietos or Dessert of Fingers (Lady fingers). It is make with lots of cream, chocolate, coffee and rum in the sauce that goes inbetween the layers. Amazingly, it is very light.
The pictures you posted are mouthwatering but I have to admit that my major dessert attraction is ice cream. Just plain old ice cream. Save the dinner calories and spend them on the ice cream.

I THINK my favorite is Bananas Foster.. but I've only had it once. LOL I fell in love with it at a restaurant in Las Vegas years ago, and have not found it since.

Gosh - I have a hard time picking just one favorite dessert. Usually I pick either a chocolate torte or a cheesecake if I am going out (plain cheesecake with a bit of chocolate and raspberry sauces. Preferably the fluffy cheesecake)
But I also love lemon desserts... Too many choices.

Again, SUPER hard to pick just one, but I'd have to go with shortcake - crumbly, slightly sweetened biscuits drenched in strawberry raspberry sauce that's mushed up enough to be sauced but not so much that there aren't fruity chunks in it, then topped with a generous dollop of homemade whipped cream...that's heaven on a plate, right there.

absolutely amazing desert pictures! truly tempting! my favorite desert, if i feel like putting some time into it, is the boca negra cake from baking with julia. can't beat a chocolate cake with only 1.5 tblsps of flour. if i just want something quick and good, i make mondelbrot (sic), a jewish almond biscotti like bread, except i put chocolate chips and dried apricots in the middle along with the almonds, roll it up, bake and slice! heaven.

My favorite is baklava cheese cake. Yes, it is baklava and it is cheese cake - two treats in one. The crust is walnuts, instead of graham crackers, then the cheese cake filling and top it off with philo dough and drizzel with honey. It makes my teeth ache and my hips grow just thinking about it.

My absolute favorite dessert (and you can ask my kids) is tiramisu. It's creamy and not too sweet. Even though I know I've eaten thousands of calories, I don't feel loaded down with dessert (and that's a very bad thing!). It's also I dessert that I have not and will not attempt to make myself. It might be easy to make, but do I dare?

Absolutely, my favorite dessert is Tirimasu. So far, I really love what Olive Garden serves the best. I do want to try to make it myself though if anyone has a really great recipe. I have to say one of my absolute favorites is to take a pear, cut it in half, bake it for about 15 minutes cut side down, turn over, put in butter and brown sugar (can also add some nuts at this time) bake another 15 minutes, add some Gorgonzola or blue cheese and bake until melted. If you want the cheese brown place under a broiler. YUM!!!!

As much as I do love CHOCOLATE. I would have to say my favorite dessert is a wonderful cake that my grandfather used to make & that I have pretty well perfected to my tastes. It is a Lemon Pound Cake with a VERY Tart Lemon Glaze...YUMMY :-) What a wonderful contest - now I am off to find something sweet to eat.
