Been Rusted, Now I'm Rooted

I have finished the 'Rusted Root'. I love this top and for my next one I plan to modify it a bit to use a pattern I used in socks that I think will look very cool on a sweater. Who doesn't love a sweater that can be knit from the top down with no seaming?

Details:
Pattern - Rusted Root by, Zephyr Girls
Yarn - Cotton Fleece, 2 1/2 skeins in Wolverine
Needles - 6's and 5's
Mods - Tubular cast on for the neck - great video in the link above about how to do this. Great for socks too.




Jason and I went for a walk today and came across some really nice photo opps so here are a few of those...thankfully it seems that Spring has sprung again here in Boston.

Diagonal Knit Scarf

This is another of my current projects. I found this pattern on Midnight Purls. It took me a few tries to get this scarf right, but with the blogger's help I was able to get it right.
I always thought that a YO was an actual stitch, but as I have found out it is actually just a placement of the yarn for the next stitch.
I have knit this in a Micro-Spun Acrylic.
It is super soft and a lovely shade of pink. It is the perfect weight and style for a spring scarf. I am knitting it with number 4 bamboo needles.
