I do Knit - I swear!

Here is a progress report on my husband's sox. I know that my last few posts have been none knitting related, so I thought I would pop in some actual knitting to my knitting blog. I am really loving how this sock is turning out. Ann Budd is an amazing designer and a skilled knitter.

My only problem with this sock so far is the gap between the DPN on the bottom of the foot has some spaces between the stitches. Under normal circumstances I would rip - but I don't know how to fix this. Anyone have any suggestions out there?

I am loving the color way in this yarn. I have broken 1 needle so far (note to self do not try on sock with wooden needles attached - sighs dramatically). Lorna's Lace is very soft and it is even machine washable, which makes me very happy. Must stop typing now, need to finish sock!

Wow, that's great progress! When I work with DPNs I rotate the join between the needles by always knitting two stitches off of the next needle, before reintroducing the empty needle. Does that make sense? Read it with your knitting in front of you, and it should! Chances are it will wash out a bit and even out enough, unless it's really a drastic difference. Happy Knitting!

Irony! I'm using Lorna's Sheperd for my sock in progress...

LOL For some reason.. I thought you had hooked the sock over a tree branch!

I avoid that dreaded ladder you can see with DPNs by using Magic Loop! :P

In all seriousness, I would think that rotating the stitch count some when you can should help. In ML, Tugging after the 2nd - not first - stitch also helps, but I am not sure how well that would 'translate'.

I am sorry you broke a needle, even if it WAS DP. :(

Finish before you leave, woman!! I wanna see it done :D
